WEDDINGS

Hartley’s are the perfect catering partner for your special day. Every wedding is unique, so our approach is tailored around you. Whether your day is to be classic and traditional or more flamboyant and flowery we can design bespoke menus according to any preferences and requirements.

BAR SERVICES

Whether you want to provide a free bar for your guests or generate profits for your event we at Hartley’s can obtain the necessary licence and help you set your own tariffs. We provide all equipment needed along with glasses and all alcohol is provided on a sale or return basis.


HOG ROASTS

Hog roasts are a great alternative to a regular buffet. Our hogs are sourced from local butchers and are cooked over charcoal for approx. 7 hours entirely at your location. The average pig weighs 65kg and will happily feed 100 people.

CROCKERY & EQUIPMENT HIRE

From a teaspoon to a marquee we can provide an extensive range of equipment, including tableware, glassware and audio-visual equipment. Delivered to your home or venue a washing up service can be included if required.


PIE & PEAS

Our pies are homemade just like your Grandma used to make – they are round, deep plate pies often described by our customers as Desperate Dan pies! Served with red cabbage, beetroot, pickled onions and gravy

Offering a choice from hot and cold buffets, dressed and carved buffets, cold finger buffets and a selection of sandwiches we have menus to suit most budgets and meal styles. We don’t even need an on site kitchen for hot food, everything is delivered ready to serve.

HARTLEY'S HISTORY

Hartley’s restaurant was established in the summer of 2007, with the intention to capture everything good about Mediterranean cuisine and the alfresco way of eating. Our menus are designed around fresh ingredient chilled salads, olives and fresh fish with all meats and and cheese and dairy being sourced as close to home as possible.

Head chef and owner Andrew Turner has over 26 years experience within the catering industry, and has a deep passion for the food that he produces, trained in Manchester he moved back up to the lake district working in the fine hotels from Grasmere down to Windermere culminating as executive Head chef for 7 years at the Swan Hotel Newby Bridge.

Lisa Turner, wife and partner of Hartley’s specializes in the event management side to the company, with a background in sales events and wedding coordination, she is perfectly positioned to ensure your special day goes as planned. And will tailor our skills to meet your requirements.

Simon Merlyn, acts as right hand man to Lisa and Andrew, having worked with Andrew for over ten years and with 20 years experience himself he knows more than a little about the skills of his trade. Together they make Hartley’s, whether you eat at the restaurant or entrust your events to there capable hands our reputation for quality and ease of service will shine through.
